Leviticus 23:22 “When you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not reap to the very edges of your field, or gather the gleanings of your harvest; you shall leave them for the poor and for the alien: I am the Lord your God.”
We pause today to hold Feast of Justice in prayer. We are celebrating “what love can do and dare” through their transformational partnerships with neighbors, the community and people they meet on the block. They are recognizing “poverty doesn’t distinguish between young and old, it doesn’t recognize race or religion, male or female, or even working or unemployed. It is indiscriminate and spreading.” Feast of Justice is a ministry in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Abundant God, use our hands to gather from the edges of our own abundance and invite transformational relationshps with our neighbors. Amen
