Amidst all the anger, hatred and violence we hear of on a daily basis, I thought you would enjoy this story of love.
God has truly blessed us at The Apple Tree Center. Recently one of our student’s father’s died. The Program Director, Debbie, stepped forward and offered to host a funeral dinner at The Apple Tree Center for the 25 – 30 people.
Since it was cooking week at our summer camp, the menu was changed and the kids were able to prepare and serve the meal to their friend and his family. This allowed the kids to cook, to support their friend and, in addition, they again had the experience of servanthood which is something we continually focus on. Debbie said when she told the mother that you all were praying for them, she wept.
Amidst all the anger, hatred and violence we hear of on a daily basis, I thought you would enjoy this story of love. Thank you again for your prayers and loving support.
